Last year denoted the presentation of the updated Seamaster Diver 300M , a.k.a. the “Bond watch”, a.k.a. Omega’s passage level diver. Restored with a somewhat bigger case, an updated dial in ceramic, laser-engraved with the famous wave design, accessible in various tones and materials, the fundamental advancement concerned the appearance of an in-house, Master Chronometer development. This year, Omega grows the assortment with another White Ceramic dial for the Seamaster Diver 300M.
Certainly, this new model isn’t Omega’s fundamental curiosity of the year… This job has been given to the chronograph form of this watch. What you see here is a basic visual update, which nevertheless merits a notice for being rather attractive indeed.
The fundamental formula of the 2018 Omega Seamaster Diver 300M has been kept, with a 42mm treated steel case, the helium get away from valve at 10 o’clock, the new ceramic bezel with veneer filled scale and the alternative of a steel wristband or an incorporated dark elastic tie. Same case, same extents, same design.
For 2019, we have anyway another adaptation of this watch, notwithstanding the current dark, blue and dim/blue releases. To give a more splendid, less toolish look to its semi-professional jump watch, Omega adds a white ceramic dial to the assortment, combined with darkened hands and hours markers, which actually holds the laser-engraved wave design. The outcome, with the highly contrasting bezel, is wonderful and makes the watch more modest and less “instrument-like”. The difference stays great thus does the legibility.
Powering this new Omega Seamaster Diver 300M White Dial is a similar Caliber 8800 Co-Axial Master Chronometer, a programmed motor with 55h force, here obvious through the sapphire caseback.
All in all, this new white form of the Seamaster Diver 300M is charming and new. Its cost will be equivalent to other steel adaptations of this watch, which means EUR 4,600 on elastic tie and EUR 4,900 on steel arm band. More subtleties at omegawatches.com
